What we self-perform.
Two people own this company and both of them weld. Nothing on the structural side goes to a second-tier sub, so the person who priced your job is the person on it.

The mobile welding half of the business is not a separate company. It is the same truck and the same rig, which is the practical reason to keep a sub who does both: when a member shows up an inch long or something has to be cut and welded before the inspector arrives, that is an hour, not a trip back to somebody’s shop.
How to send a bid package.
Send the set and we will tell you when you will have a number. If the date you need is tighter than that, say so on the phone and we will tell you straight whether we can hold it.
- The structural sheets and any steel or frame schedule
- Connection details, and shop drawings if they exist
- The job address and the scope you want us to hold
- The schedule window, and what is in front of us
- Whether the scope is erection only, fabrication only, or both
Calls and texts both reach the owner directly. There is no estimating department to route through.
A shared link to the set is fine, and so is an invitation through whatever bid platform you use.
Special inspection.
The welder on your job holds the C-51 qualification the company license runs on. Not a name on a filing you will never meet, and not supervising by phone.
That is the whole difference between this and a one-truck welder, and it is the thing a PM is actually worried about. Moment connections and complete penetration welds are on the inspection list on almost every permitted job around here. A weld that gets closed in before it is seen gets opened back up, and that is your schedule, not ours.
So the procedure comes off the plans, the work is welded to AWS D1.1, and we schedule around the inspector rather than making them wait. Passing the first visit is the standard we work to. Nobody gets to promise you an inspector’s decision, and anyone who does is telling you something else about themselves.
If your specification calls for a qualified welder to a particular procedure, say so with the invitation. We would rather confirm the requirement before the number goes in than discover it at the inspection.

Being straight about size is worth more to an estimator than claiming everything. A house takes a handful of members. A light commercial shell can take a few dozen. That is the range this outfit is built for.

What we need from you to start.
None of it is unusual. It is listed here so that the first call is about the job rather than about logistics.

Can you provide a COI naming us as additional insured?

We carry $2,000,000 in general liability and workers' compensation is in force.
What is your license classification?
C-51 Structural Steel, CSLB license #1157116, held by the company and current and active. That classification covers structural steel fabrication and erection. Check it yourself at cslb.ca.gov, which will also show the bond and the workers' compensation policy.
Do you self-perform erection?
Yes. Erection, field welding, shop fabrication, and misc metals are all in-house, done by the two people who own the company. Nothing on the structural side is passed to a second-tier sub. Crane and rigging, engineering, detailing, galvanizing, and special inspection are coordinated rather than performed.
What is your service area?
South Orange County out of San Clemente, and across the county for the right job. Irvine, Newport Beach, Mission Viejo, Laguna Niguel, and Dana Point are all a normal drive. Tell us the job address and we will say straight away whether it is in range.

Do you have an EMR?
No, not yet. An experience modification rate needs roughly three years of payroll history and this LLC was licensed in 2026. Workers' compensation is in force and a certificate is available on request, but if your prequalification process scores on EMR we will not clear it, and it is better that you know that now.
Are you an AISC certified fabricator?
No. AISC certification is a plant audit program aimed at larger shops. What we hold is the CSLB structural steel license, and the work is fabricated and welded to AWS D1.1 and checked by the project's special inspector. If your specification requires a certified fabricator, say so at the invitation stage rather than after the award.
Can you carry a performance or payment bond?
No. We carry the $25,000 CSLB contractor's bond and a $100,000 LLC worker bond, which are license requirements rather than a bonding line. There is no surety capacity behind this company for a project-specific performance or payment bond. If your scope requires one, we are the wrong sub for it.
How do we invite you to bid, and how fast is a number?

Send the structural sheets, the connection details, the job address, and the schedule window, and we will tell you when you will have a number rather than guessing at a turnaround. If your date is tighter than that, say so and you will get a straight answer about whether we can hold it.
How large a scope do you take?
Residential and light commercial, from a single moment frame up to a shell of a few dozen members. Small structural scopes are normal work here, including the one-frame and one-dropped-beam jobs most erectors will not mobilize for. High rise, heavy industrial, and public works with union or PLA requirements are not us.
