Custom steel fabrication in Orange County
Custom fabrication is the scope nobody drew. A support that is not in the catalog, an enclosure the equipment vendor does not sell, a bracket to hang something the architect specified from framing that will not take it. On a job it is usually the item that shows up in an RFI, and it is faster to have it made than to redesign around it.
The work runs in the same order every time. Measure what is actually there. Draw it, even roughly, so we are agreeing on the same object before steel gets cut. Pick material and finish for where it is going, because an interior bracket and a rail three blocks from the water are not the same steel or the same coating. Then build, fit, and install. Anything that will carry weight gets attached into framing or into steel, not into drywall and hope.
Things we build often: brackets and supports, weld on and bolt on mounts, equipment stands and curbs, dumpster and meter enclosures, awning and canopy frames, counter and island frames, shelving, and one off parts to replace something that is no longer made. If it is steel and it has to fit something real, it is in range.

Questions we get on this one.
There is no detail for it. Is that a problem?
No. Most of these start as a phone photo and two measurements. We will sketch it back to you before we cut so we are both looking at the same thing, and you have something to attach to the RFI or the change order.
Can you copy a part I already have?
Usually. Bring the part, or send photos of it flat on the ground next to a tape measure. A broken part still works as a pattern as long as all the pieces are there.
Do you do the design, or do I need somebody?
For anything that does not carry structural load, we will work it out with you. For anything holding up a building or holding back people, an engineer sizes it and we build to their drawing.
What about stainless or aluminum?
Both run a different process than the structural rig. Ask when you call and we will tell you straight whether it is work we take.
