Something broke and it is not going anywhere. A handrail is hanging off one leg. A stair stringer pulled away from its landing. A gate post snapped at the base. A machine frame cracked and the machine is bolted to the floor. Those are the calls this exists for: fixed things, attached to buildings, that cannot be carried to a shop. On an active job it is usually punch list work that is holding up a sign-off. If it is a trailer or a piece of equipment, the trailer and equipment page is the one you want.
We show up with an engine driven welder, stick and flux core, a grinder, a torch, and enough stock to make a repair rather than just a weld. The first question is always why it broke, because a weld that only closes the gap is a repair with a countdown on it. Something that snapped at a joint was overloaded there. Something that tore out of a plate had too little plate. We fix the break and then we fix the reason, which usually means more material where the original had none.
Different metals get handled differently, and some jobs are bad candidates. We would rather tell you that on the phone than charge you to find out. Send a photo of the break and a photo of the whole thing it is attached to, and you get a straight answer.

How do I get a price?
Text a photo of the break, a photo of the whole thing it is attached to, and the city you are in. That is usually enough. If it is not, we will ask two questions and then give you a number.
Will the repair be stronger than the original?
At the repair, usually yes, because we add material where the original had none. The rest of the part is still the original part. If the same thing has broken twice, the problem is the design, and we will say so rather than weld it a third time.
Can you come out today?
Sometimes, when we are already in South Orange County and the job is small. Call and ask. We would rather give you a real window than a hopeful one.
Can you weld aluminum?
Aluminum runs a different process than the structural rig. Ask when you call and we will tell you straight whether it is work we take.
